This
cam made all happen because it was the first to meet my requirements
Other
cheapos as Sipix
Blink, Argus
DC1600 and Digital
Dream l'Espion didn't allow usable pictures with similar 8Mb
SDRAM.
This
one does such pictures and stay cool with its winning 85' formula
: 85mm dia, 85g and 85 Euros priced
Digital
Dream online information is also a winning formula other companies
should follow ...

Warning
: This means end of warranty !
|
This
wheel is a marvel of 2002' Tech. and proves to be well designed
to. Furthermore, allowing remote control requires very little work.
Disassembly
the cam very carefully and add wires on the 4 switch legs. Use only
a <30W solder and take all your time : This is critical, especially
on the shutter 2nd leg wich is tiny and isolated (orange).
The cover clearance allows wires to go around the circuit board
and reach the front cover without any complication.

Minor
modification
|

Only
mechanical change
|
It
is important not to impact the normal use of the cam so please consider
the front removable cover to hide the connections
With
such connectors, only four 1mm drill holes were required just above
the 50/60Hz indication
Glue
the connector with CA glued (green Zap works great) and solder it
to the 4 wires
Note
the 2 switchs grounds are linked, but I prefered to place a 4th
plug ...

Once
done, Overall weight is not affected

Some
ready to use solutions are available. They are also tinier but about
3x or 4x more expensive (Ex : EMS
Jomar, RC Boats)
This
comes from Conrad
Electronics and costs only 13 Euros
A
final tuning is possible to switch on each channel only when each
throttle end reached
Pretty
useful when the cam is controlled by a progressive throttle as a
Hitec Ranger III toggle

The first vehicule used to
test the solution was a brave stable buggy ride
Note the speedo
screen in the vision field of the cam
Bigger tires and a larger cam
mount allowed this VIDEO
